Cancellation policy

On rare occasions, PCA Great Performances must cancel a performance. This typically happens for one of two reasons, described on this page.

weather emergencies

If a performer has arrived safely and the scheduled venue is safe, the show usually goes on despite the weather. PCA Great Performances cancels performances due to weather only if a weather emergency has been declared by the City of Portland. We will prominently display any such cancellation on this website and we will attempt to contact ticketbuyers by email as soon as possible.

A weather emergency is not the same thing as a parking ban. To check whether a weather emergency has been declared, please call the City of Portland’s cancellation hotline at 207.756.8130. You may also check with the box office at 207.842.0800.

performer unavailability

Occasionally, an artist we have engaged becomes unavailable after tickets have already been sold. The circumstances vary, but in all situations, PCA makes every effort to inform ticketbuyers of the situation as soon as possible and to offer a satisfactory remedy for the inconvenience. PCA Great Performances makes every effort to avoid these types of cancellations; unfortunately, though, they can occur.
